Terms of Service

Effective date: 11 July 2026

By creating an account or using Eternal Scoreboard (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Eternal Scoreboard is a web application that lets you create scoreboards and track game results over time. It is operated as a personal project by the individual behind hello@eternalscoreboard.app ("we", "us").

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm you meet this requirement.

You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their permission, or use another person's account without authorisation.

3. Lifetime access

"Lifetime access" means access to the Service and all its features for as long as the Service is operated. Our goal is to operate this service indefinitely: no artificial sunsetting, no pivot to subscriptions.

We recognise that "forever" cannot be a contractual guarantee, so we make this commitment instead: if we ever decide to discontinue the Service, lifetime members will receive at least 90 days' notice by email and, during that window, a way to download all their scoreboard data and match history in a standard format. Your records belong to you.

Lifetime access covers one individual account. It is non-transferable and may not be resold.

4. Payment

Lifetime access is available for a one-time payment of USD $19.99, processed by Stripe. All prices are stated in US dollars and are inclusive of any applicable fees unless stated otherwise.

Payments are non-refundable except as described in Section 5 or as required by applicable law.

5. Refunds

If you are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your purchase by emailing hello@eternalscoreboard.app. No questions asked.

Refund requests made after 30 days will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you create within the Service (scoreboard names, player names, results, notes). You grant us a limited licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service by automated means without permission
  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialise access to the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules, without refund.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may take the Service offline for maintenance, upgrades, or reasons outside our control. We will not be liable for any downtime.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
